Thanksgiving 2022

On Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 24) we will be serving the community with a traditional Thanksgiving dinner — Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce, a roll and a slice of pumpkin pie. We expect to server approximately 1,250 eals and will be needing all the help we can get in the following areas

Cooking Turkeys

We will be purchasing 62 turkeys this year and will distribute them on Sunday, Nov. 20. We need people to cook and return the turkeys to the church on Wednesday, Nov. 23. Sign up sheets to cook turkeys will be outside the Sanctuary.

Meal Preparation

Wednesday, Nov. 23, we will be starting the prep work (slicing turkey, boxing pies, box construction, etc.) for the meal. We will need volunteers to help starting at 9 a.m. and we will be working until everything is completed, typically between 3-4 p.m. Volunteers can come anytime during these hours to help and we will have lunch provided. You are not required to stay the entire time, please come and go as needed.

Meal Boxing and Delivery

Thursday, Nov. 24, we will begin meal boxing and delivery at 10:30 a.m.; and will hope to be completed by 2 p.m. We will need all the volunteers we can get during this time and volunteers can stay for as long (or short) as they can. We will also be serving a meal in the Fellowship Hall for those who want to eat in.

Cleaning Up

We need a couple fo people to commit to coming in around 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 24, to assist with kitchen and Fellowship Hall cleanup.
